Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about eligibility, referrals, and the support we provide.

Who is eligible to stay at Kresso Supported Housing?

We provide accommodation and support for individuals in London who are currently experiencing homelessness, rough sleeping, or are at immediate risk of losing their home. Applicants must require support with independent living skills, budgeting, or wellbeing to qualify for our services.

How do I apply or refer someone to Kresso?

We accept applications through three main pathways. You can complete our online form as a self-referral if you need help yourself. We also accept council referrals directly from local authority housing teams, and community referrals from local charities, day centres, and healthcare providers.

How long can someone stay in your supported housing?

Our housing is transitional. While stays vary depending on individual needs and council agreements, our ultimate goal is to support residents with life-skills training and casework so they can move into permanent, independent housing within 6 to 24 months.

What kind of support do you provide alongside accommodation?

We provide holistic care. This includes daily access to nutritious meals, tailored independent living plans, budgeting advice, mental wellbeing support, and active assistance with local council housing pathways to secure permanent tenancy.

Do I have to pay to stay at Kresso?

Most of our residents have their housing costs covered through Housing Benefit or Universal Credit housing costs. During our assessment interview, we will look at your financial situation and help you understand any personal contributions or benefit claims needed.
